ARTIST’ STATEMENT

Playing at visually philosophising on the human condition through the eyes of characters, being their virtual or physical, that I create and give life to, is what gives me the pleasure of freedom in the art and excites my personal questioning and reflection. I love to experiment with what is available as a form of art medium or tool, from cardboard to wire to free software, to create installations and performances with worlds and characters that bend the reality and become surreal.

I am not interested in serious, meaningful art, without a playful approach, for that would be hypocritical. Only with play we can freely and honestly look at our human contradictions and transform them into a tool for deeper understanding and growth. Playfulness makes my art truly free (from secondary purposes, agendas and interests) All my work is participatory, 3d and performative: I mischievously put my questions to the audience to play and laugh together while reflecting on our failures: our degrading greed for control and power.
